Cloth diaper safe rash creams?

My son has a very small flat red area on his bum…almost looks like sunburn. I use microfiber inserts with a stay-dry top and was wondering if there were any cloth diaper safe rash creams that I didn’t have to order online.

Yes, I’ve used lanolin before on my cloth diapered baby with success (both to my baby’s skin and her cloth diapers). My go-to cloth diaper rash cream is the Angel Baby Earth Mama Bottom Balm. It smells wonderful, is all natural, completely safe on cloth and solves any and all diaper redness or rash within hours! Love this stuff. I’ve only been able to find it online though, so just google search.

I also trust the California Baby products and they do have a rash cream, and have heard many people recommend a cream called Grandma El’s, although I haven’t tried either yet, myself.

You are correct – stay away from the Desitin and A&D lotions, which will reduce the absorbency of your cloth diapers.

Honestly, my baby has only had a diaper rash once, maybe twice, but will have periods of redness on her bum that I think is related to some of the foods she eats or if she’s not feeling well. (She is 11 months old now.) The Angel Baby lotion really does the trick, and I also put it all over her bottom at night time before bed, to help give her some extra wetness protection.
