My six year old daughter just got one for her BDay, thank god it’s only water she drinks, but I am really put off by the criminal waste of disposable diapers this doll requires. The manufacturer is definitely not environmentally friendly and I do hate toys that bleed us parents like that.
I would like to get her some washable cloth ones, but I am not living in the USA at the moment and would like to know if anyone has a pattern I could use to make them myself.

On pinstripes and polkadots, it says to wash them 5 times on hot with detergent then once without. I read in one of my answers I got once on here to dry them in between so I have been. They shrunk a lot, and take a while to dry. I put them all in the washer at once since they aren’t dirty, and they’re on their 5th wash. Are they supposed to shrink and wrinkle up a lot? It’s probably a stupid question but I haven’t washed my thirsties covers, bumgeniuses, or dappi covers yet and I don’t want to mess anything up.
Yes, they shrink and gain absorbency. Make sure if you have any hemp to do the same but wash them completely separate from any other products during your pre-washes.
