What’s your opinion on Pamper’s Cruisers diaper?

My daughter is 17 months old and is zooming like most babies her age. We’ve tried many brands of Diapers but are wondering if a permanent switch to something designed for toddlers like the Cruisers would be in order. We’ve never tried them though and we’re hesitant to spend the money on them if they’re not all that good. What do you think? What diaper is best for a child her age? She’s a short average weight baby and has only ever leaked out of Wal-mart brand diapers.

I personally do not like Pampers. I have always loved Huggies, and they have Huggies lil Movers too. Depending on who you ask everyone prefers their certain brand.

messy diapers stories
For those of you who Breastfed or used cloth Diapers?

Whenever I say I want to breastfeed and use cloth diapers, I get arguments from everyone, about how hard, messy, troublesome it is.

I don’t care if others use formula or disposable diapers, but I’m home and have the time for it, so I figure to do my baby and Mother Nature a favor by taking the old standby route.

What is so terrible about either? What do I need to be prepared for with breastfeeding and using cloth diapers? Horror stories? Tips?

I don’t know anyone who has breastfed for more than a few weeks, and my mom is the only one who used cloth diapers of anyone I know, so I leave it to you.

Thanks for answering honestly.

Honestly, when I was pregnant, I wouldn’t even give cloth diapers a first thought, let alone a second. Now I cloth diaper, about 90% of the time, and absolutely love it! It’s a lot easier then I thought it would be. It might not have been completely doable, in the beginning, because my daughter was super colicky, and barely slept.

I say go for it, but have disposables as back ups, so if you need a break, or have a rough beginning, like I did, you wont have to worry. You rather lack on the diaper up keep, then the breast feeding, because that’s a whole lot more important. And then you can always move on to cloth diaper, when the babies a little older, and has more routine.

I use Bumgenius 3.0 OS, that I love! They’re soft, nice quality, and super cute. I don’t think I would want them for a newborn though, too bulky. For a newborn, I would to pre-folds, and covers. I didn’t start my daughter until she was 6 months, so they fit her good.

ETA:
About the cloth liners, they’re really just a pain, and a waste. The poo, usually gets on the diaper anyway, either around the liner or through, even doubled over, and you have to take the extra time to put it in. Plus, breast feed poo, is water soliable. I use a sprayer, and just rinse the poo diapers right away, before I put them in my pale. And at 8 months, my daughter still has 4-5 bm’s a day.
