Cloth Diapers Washing Soda

How do you wash your cloth Diapers?
I drop solids in the toilet then put all diapers and wipes in their own laundry basket, then I wash them in cold water with one scoop laundry detergent, two teaspoons baking soda and a teaspoon vinegar. Then I run it once more without any detergent or anything to make sure the odor is out. Then dry them. But they still seem to have an odor. I also have trouble with them leaking so I’m wondering if I have too much detergent build up in them. Just wondering how you cloth diapering mama’s wash your little ones diapers and do you have any suggestions on how I can make my cleaning process better.
I’d be willing to bet BIG money that detergent build up is your problem, a FULL scoop of detergent AND baking soda and vinegar?
That’s overkill!
Seriously, if I use any more than a 1/4 teaspoon of detergent in my machine with the diapers I get build up, and my detergent says to use half a CUP in a front loader! I put them through on a warm intensive cycle with a prewash rinse and a post wash rinse and a 1/4 teaspoon of detergent, they come out looking clean and I rarely have smell problems with them. When I do notice them starting to smell a little I do the next three washes without detergent as there is usually enough detergent built up in the fabric to get them properly clean.
