Parents Poll: Wat kind of Mommy (or Daddy) car do you drive?

Just for fun… What kind of family car do you drive?

My brother, sister-n-law, hubby and I had this huge discussion the other night about Mommy-mobiles. I am having baby #2 and am thinking mini-van. (Althou I SWORE I’d never own one…lol) It just seems baby/toddler things take up sooo much room!! Especially if you are on the go (like us). Strollers… wagons… clothes… toys… diaper bags… It never ends. Both my sister-n-law and myself are needing bigger vehicles. My brother swears mommas can fit everything needed in one little car.I think there will be plenty of time for lil red sports cars later on in life… Creature comforts are best with kids.

What do you all think? What is in your garage?

you need a minivan.

i’ve been a car guy all my life, and i sell cars in my part time at a largest used car chain (due to our policy, i can’t name names) in united states.

i became an instant parent, 2 years ago and i haven’t adjusted to our needs. I had a toyota 4runner prior to being a dad to 3 wonderful kids, and we use that as family vehicle for now. and i drive lexus sedan for my everyday car, and i have twin turbo supra for my toy car, that comes out to play about 10 days per year.

you need 3 row of seating, because in laws, sisters, kids’ friends may tag along.

you need something reasonable in gas.

you need room behind the 3rd row that folds into the floor easy.

you need something reliable for obvious reasons.

you need a minivan.

i dunno what your budget is, but if money no object, new honda odyssey tops the list, followed very closely by toyota sienna. (both well above 30k, fully loaded)

most for your money? (do i sound like a used car salesman?)

try 06-07 dodge/chrysler minivans. they’re not the most reliable and resale value kinda sucks, but because of that, you can get one with very low miles for under 15k. the ‘stow and go’ is a very nice feature.

if you want something bit smaller, try mazda 5. bit small, and you won’t be able to store stroller behind 3rd row, but perfect size for busy city.

if your budget is under 10k, i’d go with older toyota sienna. I have 217,000 trouble free miles on my lexus (toyota) and high miles wouldn’t bother me, as long as it’s been taken care of. older odyssey rattles pretty bad.

yup, i used to turn my head for Ferraris, Shelby Mustangs, GTO’s, Chevelles, and GNX’s, but now i snap my neck for minivans.

why don’t they build minivans with 600hp V-8′s with twin roots-type superchargers? i’d want one.

Huggies Overnite Diapers Size 5 units 56 "Big Count"

I bought a pack of Huggies overnights and one between the protection more Pampers and each of them has worked well for my daughter. The Huggies were a bit difficult to add anything, but she just had a few minor leaks of Pampers. She sleeps twelve hours and I hope it still has losses for each moment and then. The only disappointment with the nights Huggies is Mickey in front of them through the bleeding in his pajamas. Blood not simply horrible mostly dark gray shade used as black and blue on the forehead blends into the bosom of his pajamas, but still hate the fact they do because most of your pajamas are light colors. I Pampers try to see if they work about as good for you little initial however, continue to perform well, if you have darker colored pajamas.

My daughter is a half on average in recent months and slept for ten hours a night for more than four months. For the past month, however, it was saturating bed every night and waking found its range due to the layer dip (Mime Swaddle), his pajamas, he and his sleeping bag cribsheet! I did not factor in bad saturated for ten hours when I woke her and then be forced to return to sleep while my husband and modified leaves. This place every night just for a few months! What a pain! after having attempted all, put the 2 layers, the implementation of a sanitary napkin!, diapers and make a various attempts, I decided to ring Overnite and so glad I did! During the last week I had not been absorbed by a once! and he or she now has an uninterrupted sleep. Ahhh, peace at last. Oh, and also available in smaller size may be three and my baby is fourteen.5 books and they do a great job! Therefore, a larger size could also be a bonus. Applying a lot these days …

About the Author

Huggies Overnite diapers?

Hello. Has anyone tried these? I really do not like Huggies. You do not like the way she is. But I saw these in the store and after some hesitation decided to buy a small ridge just to test. I bought size 3, but it seems almost too small for my daughter despite the decrease in the weight range. Appear to be less elastic than Pampers. Pampers is overniters desire. Nobody like it or not, and why? Just curious.

We used Huggies at night with Noah at least during the last month. Take normal size 3 in diapers, but we have a size 4 in the evening. They work very well. We had a permeable layer because we used.
