Bio Liners Diapers

Cloth diapering: Recurring rash?
My daughter has had a recurring rash on her bottom for 3 or 4 months now. The only way I am able to get rid of it is b switching to sposies for a few days. I have tried using bio liners, stripping the dipes, many different (cloth friendly) rash creams/barriers, blow dryer at ever change, tea tree oil, vinegar, steam blaster(to kill any yeast/bacteria), and the list goes on and on. I am ready to throw in the towel and just switch. I really don’t want to but I am out of ideas.
Her rash always appears as little red pimples with a blister like sac on the tip. Right now she has 5 is a row down her left bum cheek and 3 on the other. I put her a sposie over night and the redness has gone down a little. What should/can I do? Please help!
You probably need to contact your pediatrician. My son had the same thing a few weeks ago and it was a yeast infection. They don’t clear up like normal diaper rash, even if you use homeopathic remedies. We put over-the-counter Lotrimin on it for about a week. (Same stuff people use for athlete’s foot.) It cleared up in about 5-7 days. If it hadn’t, the pediatrician would have prescribed a special antibiotic/cream.
My guess is it gets worse with cloth Diapers because the diaper area stays moist, no matter how much powder or drying you try. Disposable diapers just do a better job of staying dry. The infection may start getting better, but it has never fully healed. That’s why you keep seeing it.
Again, check with your pediatrician. Babies get many weird types of rashes, it could be something entirely different. Hope this helps!
