Banana Peels Diapers

Why do people call it “giving away” their dog when they are throwing it away?

I’ve seen so many instances of people saying they are “giving” their dog away-when in reality, they’re dumping it at a shelter. Do they really believe they’re doing that shelter a favor? Do they call it “giving away” their empty milk jug, or do they call it “throwing away” their trash? I would think that you GIVE away something that someone else is wanting (give away a grand prize, give away a car, give away your multi-million dollar fortune). I consider it THROWING away when it’s something that is no longer useful to you, something that you simply want to be rid of (I throw away banana peels, I throw away used tissues). When they’re treating their dogs like disposable Diapers, why would they call it “giving”? MOST people aren’t interested in their 95-pound, 10 month old puppy that they were too lazy to train that now poops mountains on the living room floor, humps legs, marks walls, and growls at everything that walks by…not much of a gift, is it?

You are playing with Semantics here…why do they call it adoption when you REALLY pay money?
Why do they call it that when adoption is a word for children?

Myths and misconceptions on yeast infections

The myth : Itchiness, burning sensations, and red blotches in the external genitalia and the vagina are symptoms of yeast infection.

The truth : Most women might assume that they have yeast infection if they’re itching, burning, having vaginal discharges, or finding it painful to urinate. But this should not always be the case. You might be suffering from more serious vaginal infections like bacterial vaginosis or trichomoniasis if you are experiencing such symptoms. Women with sexually-transmitted diseases like gonorrhea and chlamydia might also suffer from vaginal sores and irritation. Doctors always recommend that you undergo clinical examinations to confirm if you have yeast infection or other types of vaginal infection or sexually-transmitted diseases.

The myth : Only women can suffer from yeast infections

The truth : Although yeast infection is not mainly a sexually-transmitted disease, men can acquire yeast infections through sexual contact with an infected female. Men who have higher risks of developing yeast infection are those who: 1) have weakened immune system, like those who already have AIDS; 2) have been using antibiotics for a prolonged period; 3) have been suffering from elevated blood sugar level or diabetes.

Newborn babies can also acquire yeast infection. An infected mother can pass the fungus to her baby upon delivery through the birth canal. The baby might develop oral thrush, which is the manifestation of whitish deposits inside the baby’s mouth. As the fungus can travel through the digestive tract and the rectum, the baby might also develop diaper rash as a symptom of yeast infection. A baby’s immune system is not yet well-developed, so infections should pose a significant concern for the mother.

The myth : Yeast infection is not a serious condition

The truth : For those who are suffering from weakened immune system, yeast infection can become systemic; this means that other parts of the body other than the mouth or the genitals can infested by the Candida fungus. People with weak immune deficiency diseases (e.g. AIDS) may develop yeast infection in their esophagus and in their skin on other parts of the body.

Once the Candida fungus gets into digestive tract, it hooks itself into the intestinal walls. This can cause punctures or holes in the intestinal tract, allowing food particles and toxins to leak into the bloodstream. The fungus can invade the liver, the lungs, the urinary tract, and even the brain. This is how systemic yeast infection carries very high mortality rate among patients.

Suggestions for heavy baby boy clothing?

I have 5 month old baby boy who was born at 5lbs 15.4ozs and 19.25inches. He is now 27inches and 18.5lbs. He is exclusively breast-fed and his pediatrician says he is very healthy which is fabulous. I’m struggling though to find clothes that fit him. Most brand names like Carters are too tight around his belly or I can’t get them over his adorable cloth diapers (smartipants; which I love!). Any suggestions on brands that fit heftier babies?

Buy bigger clothes. If he does not fit in the size you have go to the next size up until you find a size that fits.

2-in-1 Diaper Bag Question?

1. what do i have to have in my diaper bag for daily uses? besides diapers lol

2. why does it say i should take a diaper bag w/ me on the delivery bag check list? i live 20-30 mins away from the hospital, if the baby poops, i’m sure we can wait to change her once we get home, right?

1. Diapers, wipes, formula, bottles, and water(if not breastfeeding), pacifier, changing pad if you want. I never used mine. medical paper work is good to keep in there(shot record and insurance card and a list of allergies once you figure any out), change of clothes for you(well at least a shirt in case baby gets sick on you) and baby, clippers, I kept nursing pads in there cause I breast fed. If you go alot of places, it is nice to use the diaper bag as a purse too, then you don’t have to carry two bags. Oh, I almost forgot medicine…tylenol, gas reliever and maybe some band aids
2. I don’t know why it says to do that. The only thing you will really need at hospital for baby is clippers and something to take them home in. They supply diapers, wipes, and really everything else.
