Bringing Baby with me on city bus?

Tomorrow I have an appointment that cannot be missed, to fill out papers so my 4 month old son can get a scheduled date for a surgery he needs to get, I’ve never brought anyone younger then 8 with me on a city bus before much less ridden it many times. first off I’m bringing my stroller which has his car seat attached to it, because the bus stop is two miles away from my house, and what I want to know is how to get onto the bus with all this I know to close up the stroller but carrying a diaper bag, very heavy folded stroller and the car seat with him in it, in a VERY tight squeeze of an aisle I honestly can’t imagine how anyone does it!! Like, do I come in through the side walk down and pay the guy which I have seen, do I leave the stroller home and LUGG the car seat which you mothers know gets heavy with baby in it all over the place, I don’t know I may sound idiotic for asking such a simple minded question but I never been good with buses..so I don’t know how do you do it??

Leave the car seat at home.
Unless you can properly secure the car seat in the bus it is actually LESS secure than if you were to hold your child on your lap.
Personally after the first time I used the bus with a stroller- I left THAT at home too!
Around here you are required to fold strollers and stow them in the luggage compartment, let me tell you that is NOT fun!
I use a mei tie style carrier when using public transport, it leaves BOTH hands free to pay fares lug bags and hold on.
For successful public transport use you need to carry as LITTLE as possible, if you have a sling or carrier USE it, minimise the contents of your diaper bag- I know a LOT of formula feeding mothers who pack a FULL tin of formula AND at LEAST 20 Diapers and six changes of clothes for a 2 hour trip uptown. Which is kind of silly because their LO’s will only need one or two bottles, and maybe four diapers at most!
